Is the Maverick GI Bill approved for VA OJT Program?
Yes, our training program has been approved for On-The-Job Training Apprenticeship by the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). Our veterans can use their GI Bill benefits and receive a tax-free stipend.
How long is the apprenticeship program?
Maverick’s OJT program is set up for a period of up to 12 months for veterans to draw from their GI Bill benefits, in addition to your Maverick paycheck!
How much can I expect to draw from my benefits?
Your payment varies depending on the GI Bill program. View the payment rates for your GI Bill program.
How soon do I start receiving my benefits?
Once you begin orientation with Maverick, we will complete all the necessary paperwork for OJT Apprenticeship Program with your certificate of eligibility. The VA issues GI Bill payments each month after receiving verification of your hours from Maverick. We submit verifications to the VA the first of each month.
Can I come to Maverick and get it set up at a later date if I don’t have a certificate of benefits?
Yes. Maverick’s OJT certified officials can assist you in setting up your GI Bill benefits retroactively. You can also contact the VA to obtain a copy of your certificate of eligibility at this link
